Sơn Gầy Custom from Vietnam always delivers PC Mods that go beyond our imagination. This time he manages to fill an AORUS RTX 3080 XTREME WATERFORCE into this delicate box-like chassis. The theme of the case is inspired by the buildings appearing in the famous FPS game: Dust 514.

How did you get into the world of PC modding?

It all started in 2008 when I had my first desktop computer. I wanted a computer with a very special shape and I modded it on my own computer. When I showed them off on forums, a lot of people gave positive comments about it, and one of them asked me to do the same for their machines. And I had started modding from there until today.

What’s the game you like to play the most?

I have to be honest, I don't really like playing video games myself. Though sometimes I watch gameplay videos of Dota 2, Halo 5, and some other games.

Can you tell us about the concept behind this Mod?

Dust 514 is the game I chose to do this mod project. I like looking at items and buildings in the game. And when I saw the buildings in this game, I decided to choose them as the theme for the project.

After choosing the design accordingly, I found its design quite eye-catching and impressive. Also, this is a fairly new challenge for me. So I decided to do it.

Did you have any interesting or challenging moments during the modding process?

You know, sometimes from design to construction is a process. You will always have to revise, optimize and then redo until perfection. In this project, you will find the hinge part of the case quite complicated because it involves cable problems as well as water pipes. I spent a lot of time on this part. In addition, I have to design the radiator, pump outside the case to have the best match and still ensure good operation. There were so many issues to deal with in this project that it took me 5 weeks to complete them all.

Do you have any feedback or comments on AORUS GeForce RTX 3080 XTREME WATERFORCE WB?

I have had quite a bit of access to the Aorus Graphics Card Waterblock series, from 1080Ti to 2080Ti and now the RTX 3080. The AORUS GeForce RTX ™ 3080 XTREME WATERFORCE WB is a huge improvement in design, which in my opinion is the most beautiful graphics card ever. Most especially, the RGB led is extremely smooth. If there was the best design poll of the RTX 3000 Series, I would vote for the AORUS GeForce RTX ™ 3080 XTREME WATERFORCE WB.

What’s something about modding you want to try in the future?

In the future, I will continue with this modding work and share it with everyone. I hope this will help to spread passion to the younger generation in my country who will know and pursue modding as I have.
